What is Certified Hand Therapy?

Certified Hand Therapy (CHT) is a specialized area of Occupational Therapy that focuses on treating conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. A Certified Hand Therapist has advanced training and experience in evaluating and treating injuries such as fractures, tendonitis, nerve injuries, arthritis, and post-surgical recovery. Treatment may include manual therapy, splinting, strengthening exercises, pain management, and customized rehabilitation programs to restore function and reduce pain.

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy (OT) helps people regain independence in daily activities after an injury, illness, or disability. OTs focus on improving movement, strength, coordination, and function to enhance quality of life. Therapy may include exercises, adaptive techniques, and education to help individuals return to work, hobbies, and self-care.

Why Choose Hand Therapy?

Hand therapy helps patients recover from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions that affect their ability to use their hands and arms. By working with a CHT, patients receive expert, targeted care to regain movement, strength, and independence in daily activities.
